The family came in early on the 23rd. We gave them a chance to get rested well before scurrying out the door to see the Nurnberg Christmas market, which stays open until Christmas Eve. If you have been to one, you pretty much have been to them all. But they got to partake in eating bratwurst and brotchen, drinking gluhwein and walking through the walled city. (We did this later in Rothenberg o d T. but I stupidly forgot my camera so lets just go with the fact that we went). We all climbed on the train and had a great time!
Needless to say the cousins were all very happy to see eachother and I was so excited to have them under one roof!!

Abby with her gift of the year....a strawberry shortcake figure inside a shortcake tin, purse thingy....she had hours of opening it up and putting in the doll, then taking her out and putting her in.....ah the life of a two year old!!! Big hit from Grandma Suciu! (Grandma Chase got her some awesome purple slippers, but we had to get her fit into them later by cutting some slack in the sides!)
My crazy three tots on Christmas morning! We got snowed it and couldn't even make it to mass!
The next day was Thomas' birthday. We took the family to Krystal Palm Springs, a pool resort day spa which we all had a blast swimming at!! Especially Abby who hung out with me and Grandma Chase and Ben at the kitty pool while the big kids hit the water slides for four hours!!!

No birthday would be complete without a cake and ice cream.....(and gin and tonics for the adults). Complete with Iron Man settings!!! My little guy is 7....can't believe it!!!
He recieved many gifts including a guitar from mom and dad, but his big hit was a small bag of polished rocks he got from the Suciu's, included with a book! And he got the awesome honor of having his dad's side of the family to be there with him, on his actual birthday! How cool is that!
