After many nights of talking ourselves OUT of a dog and deciding it wasn't the right time in our family's time line for a pet, an adorable little pup named Gunner found us. Isn't that the way life works? =)
The staff srg who owned him is a crew chief and a platoon srg and a flight medic. She was super busy and after a few months of her new dog being left alone in the kitchen for 15 hrs at a time, she decided to find him a new home. It just so happened that she was dating one of the guys in KC's unit and he remembered how much we had loved Gunner when we met him. He sought us out and after having Gunner over to our home, we fell in love!
Thomas is so taken with him that when he escaped through the gate for all of 2.3 second, he was in tears. I will post more pictures. But know this....our puppy is adorable, extremely loved and I am pretty sure hasn't walked much since we have him. Thomas just won't put him down! But everyday afterschool Thomas treasures the moment when that tail wags only for him.
Ben loves him a lot too and Abby is always surprised to see him when she wakes up in the morning and is always slipping him food under the table. But its nice to have a dog back in the house. We have missed it!
