Memorial Day at Lake Placid 2012

A while back, my friend Cece and I hatched a plan that we should go to Lake Placid for Memorial Day weekend. This proved to be an excellent plan! We all left for our camp ground and had a great time with our two families! KC got Anthony, Cece's husband, hooked on fishing for trout! KC fell down a rock face and got scuffed up but nothing serious, all in the name of fishing right! The kids had plenty of smores, roasted chicken (chicken tenders on skewers) and scrambled eggs and bacon for breakfast! It was exhausting and wonderful all at the same time. We packed our dogs along with us and even found a quiet spot in the river one day while the guys were off fishing! Great stuff! We also remembered our fallen soldiers in every branch of service and toasted to them. I hope you all had a wonderful Memorial day and in your celebration too, remembered our honored dead who made the ultimate sacrifice for your freedom to enjoy this day!
