KC had family day on post today. It was great. There was an actual Blackhawk there and they let Thomas sit in the seat and press any buttons he liked! He was in heaven! Already he is asking me when we go back! But it was just a one day thing! In other family news, we hung up Christmas lights in the boys' room and it seems to get them to sleep a lot faster. We raked thousands of leaves in the front yard and for fun gathered pine cones to burn in the fire place. We haven't gotten a tree yet, but its on its way. We did end up putting the Advent wreath out on the table and have the one candle lit every night before dinner. We are getting ready for Christmas slowly, but you know, that only lets us enjoy everything so much more if we take it one day at a time. I read The Polar Express to Thomas and Twas the Night Before Christmas and he just gets a kick out of it. Benjamin loves the reindeer and always tries to grab the pages of the book back to see them. It is surreal to me to know that Benjamin has not yet seen snow!
A blog started to chronicle the lives of a hard working family and too keep in touch with loved ones! Its a crazy time in life right now, but I am sure we wouldn't have it any other way!!!

I don't think Thomas's smile in the bottom picture could be any bigger!
