The weekend....

This weekend we had a blast....
My good friend, Theresa, from Boise came over and we had a great time. She also happens to be Thomas's Godmother. We grew up together and our mothers were both nurses who worked together at our city hosptial. On Saturday, we started the day having coffee with Melissa and Michelle, went to a few stores downtown, had lunch, went to see some of her old stomping grounds....poor dear....went to the rival highschool in town! (Go Tigers!)
On Saturday night we went to see The Tooth Fairy down town. It was fun. I think Theresa was finally getting the idea that the children were a bit more to handle. She was literally jumped on when she got here. Thomas loves to wrestle, Mikey joined in and Katie thought she could do it to! At least the other three small kids only looked cute. She got to talk to KC when he called, then we decided to stay up and watch movies til all hoursof the morning. On Sunday, we visited Joe and Jen and their children. Along with my three it was a fun playdate. Thomas got a guitar lesson from Joe (which I am hoping will plant a musical seed), but more importantly for him, he got to see their two dogs. Schatzi and Doc. Ben played nicely with Sam, we enjoyed grapes and cinnamon rolls, Abby fell in love with a squeezable cow toy and Ben now would like a Jack-in-the-box. Cause, he loved the one at Joe and Jen's house!
After Sunday night mass we came home to celebrate because Sunday just happened to be my dad's 65 birthday. So instead of us going out to dine, he opted to cook some of his fav recipes. We ate a number of kingly dishes. Then later, we realized ALL grandkids were at the house so we snapped a few photos! It was fun trying to get them all to stay still.
Monday morning we said our goodbyes to Theresa, with assurances I would see her soon. Now, its back to the work week.....keeping up with kids, watching the news to stay informed of what my country is doing, and marking off the calendar one day at a time until my Other Half comes back.
