Quick Update on KC Status

Well,
it looks as if we won't be knowing what KC will be flying for at least another three weeks! When KC reported to duty yesterday they informed his whole class that selection wouldn't be available at least until the 24th of September, at the very minimum! So until then he is just on hold and has to check in once a day for PT. He is not exactly thrilled about it, but hey, things could be worse. He doesn't have to sit on reaction platoon (where they just sit in a room from 9am-4pm in case they might be needed to do something) or have funeral detail.
Also, there is a silver lining in this situation. Its not just his class that has to wait, but every class after his that is now doing the same thing. But they have been assured that when the system does come back on-line, than they (KC and his class) will be the ones with first dibs on aircraft selection. That being the case, there is likely to be more to choose from and so more people will be able to get their first choice air crafts. In the meantime while he's on hold I think I will get out my 'honey-do' list and start highlighting some things! :)
